Smaller groups
The premises should also allow us to
divide the campers into smaller groups, i.e. there should be many different
rooms for the various activities that we offer.
Ideally
suited
We have chosen to hold this years camps at The New School.
The New School is ideally suited to our needs as it is a residential school
for children and young adults with learning difficulties during the rest of
the year.
Outdoor activities
The grounds
surrounding us should ideally be vast, well suited for outdoor activities and
not too far away from a beach or a loch.
The Camp site
The places we choose as our campsites
must meet a number of key criteria and comply with health and safety
regulations. At present we use three sites in Sweden and one in the UK.
Enough rooms
We also ensure that there is enough
space for each camper to have a room of their own if they wish. We have found
that for some campers being able to retire to their own room makes the
difference between a bad or good camp experience.
